Starting May 12, 2021, Plains Internet will able to offer eligible families a monthly service discount of up to $50 thanks to the Federal Communications Commission’s Affordable Connectivity Program.
The COVID-19 pandemic has shown the need for reliable internet service, but affordability for some families is a problem. Because of this, the FCC created Affordable Connectivity Program to help qualifying households afford their internet.
Eligible households can apply for $50 per month towards broadband service. The FCC is also offering a one-time credit of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers.

The Affordable Connectivity Program is limited to one monthly service discount and one device discount per household.
